UCLA Vs. Oregon State: Beavers Game Tape In Low Supply

The UCLA Bruins are 3-0, their most recent game coming this past weekend in a 37-6 victory over the Houston Cougars. Their next opponent, the Oregon State Beavers, are only 1-0, but the lone win came in impressive fashion against the Wisconsin Badgers.

So UCLA coach Jim Mora doesn't have a whole bunch of game film on the Beavers. Though Mike Riley's coaching staff will probably run the same stuff as past seasons, Mora's not sure how, for example, OSU will use its tight ends. As for the defense, well, he's not sure he needs more game tape, he said on a conference call.

"I don't know if I want to see more than one game tape the way they played against Wisconsin," said Mora.

Oregon State defeated the Badgers with a physical front seven that limited running back Montee Ball to 61 yards on 15 carries. That could be a concern considering UCLA's use of the run game behind Johnathan Franklin, who has 541 yards on the season, two 200-plus yard performances and an 8.2 yard average per carry.

The Beavers are also healthy because of how little they've played. On the other hand, the lack of game repetitions could also go in UCLA's favor.
