The UCLA Bruins are 16 1/2 point favorites in their upcoming matchup with the University of Houston Cougars. The line opened with UCLA favored by 18 points. The Bruins were 4 1/2 point underdogs in last Saturday's game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, but after a 36-30 upset victory the Bruins are starting to get a little more respect in the college football world.
The Bruins are now 2-0. Freshman quarterback Brett Hundley has a 167.8 rating through the first two games, and players like senior safety Andrew Abbot are helping to generate some pressure on the defensive side of the ball. It's still early in the season, but people are beginning to take note of some signs that UCLA football under new head coach Jim Mora might be something other than business as usual.
