The BCS Presidential Oversight Committee has approved the deal for a 4-team college football playoff in a live press conference just moments ago. There will now be four teams that will vie for the right to be the national champion every year.

There will be a 12 year deal for the playoff, with semifinal games rotating between six first-tier bowls. That rotation figures to include the Rose Bowl, so the nation's most prominent bowl won't fall out of relevance. The final will be bid out to a certain site. So the BCS as we know it is gone for good.

Will this increase the chances for either USC or UCLA to win it all in any given year?
