Stanford Vs. Arizona State Final Score: Cardinal Advance With 85-65 Win, Showdown With Cal Next

Chasson Randle scored 27 of his 30 points in the first half to lead the No. 7 seed Stanford Cardinal to a 85-65 win over the No. 10 Arizona State Sun Devils in the first round of the 2012 Pac-12 Tournament at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Stanford (21-10) will face their longtime rivals, the No. 2 seed California Bears in the quarterfinals on Friday night at 6 p.m. PST.

Aaron Bright added 11 points and Jarrett Mann had 10 points for the Cardinal, who shot 47.3% from the field during the game and made 10 of 19 shots from three-point range. The 27 points in the first half for Randle were a Pac-12 Tournament record.

Other scores: No. 5 UCLA 55, No. 12 USC 40; No. 9 OSU 69, No. 8 WSU 64

The Cardinal led 50-30 at halftime and never looked back. Arizona State (10-21) shot just 41.7% from the field on the night, and were led by Chanse Creekmur with 13 points. Stanford beat Arizona State in both matchups this season.
