Pac-12 Basketball Tournament 2012: Oregon, No. 3 Seed

The 2012 Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament gets underway on Wednesday afternoon at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Here is a look at the Oregon Ducks

Team: Oregon Ducks

Head Coach: Dana Altman, second year at Oregon

2011-2012 Record: 22-8 overall, 13-5 in conference

RPI Rank: 50

Tournament Seed: 3

First Round Opponent: The Ducks receive a first-round bye, so their first game will be in Thursday's quarterfinals. They will face off against the winner of the opening-round game between the sixth-seeded Colorado Buffaloes and the No. 11 seeded Utah Utes

Season vs. Opponent: Oregon won both games against the Utes easily this season, by final scores of 79-68 and 94-48. They had a harder time with the Buffaloes, losing their first game, 72-71 and winning the rematch, 90-81

Up Next If They Win: If Oregon advances past the quarterfinals, they would meet head to Friday's semifinal game against either the No. 2 California Golden Bears or the winner of the opening-round game between No. 7 seed Stanford Cardinal and No. 10 seed Arizona St. Sun Devils

Leading Scorer: Devoe Joseph was the top scorer for the Ducks by quite a margin this season, averaging 16.8 points per game

Leading Rebounder: E.J. Singler leads Oregon in boards this year, averaging 5.5 rebounds per game

2011 Pac-12 Tournament Finish: At last year's tournament, the Ducks entered as the No. 7 seed and defeated the Arizona St. Sun Devils in the first round, 76-69. In the quarterfinals, they shocked the second-seeded UCLA Bruins, 76-59. They saw their run come to an end in the semifinals, when they were sent packing by the No. 3 seed Washington Huskies, who defeated the Ducks by a final of 69-51 before going on to win it all
