It’s been a rough year for the UCLA Bruins, but at least the regular season is ending on the right note for them. UCLA swept the Washington schools to help them earn a number five seed in the Pac-12 tournament, and might give them an easier road in their dark horse candidacy for the Pac-12 automatic bid.
Lazeric Jones had two great performances this weekend. In the rout by the UCLA Bruins over the Washington St. Cougars, Jones put up 18 points on 8-10 FG attempts, putting in five assists and three steals. Jones’s active hands were all over the Washington victory, as he was a one man disrupting force against UW. Jones put in 20 points including the go-ahead basket to help the Bruins secure victory against the Washington Huskies in a game UW needed to clinch the Pac-12 regular season title.
Not a bad way for UCLA to finish off a week filled with turmoil.
