Led by Jordan Adams and Shabazz Muhammad, the UCLA Bruins rallied back from a eight point deficit late in the second half to steal a 65-63 win from the Texas Longhorns at Reliant Stadium.
The Bruins controlled the first half of the game, entering halftime with a slim two point lead, but the Longhorns came out firing to open the second half and took control of the game. Texas seemingly had the game won, leading by eight points with just 3:43 remaining in the game.
The Bruins did not give up, though, storming back and putting up a 14-4 run behind defensive stops and aggressive offense to end the game and escape Houston with the much needed victory.
UCLA can thank Adams and Muhammad for not only the late second half run, but their overall performance in the game. Muahammad scored 16 points and Adams put up 18 of his own while the two combined for all but ten of UCLA's second half points.
