Despite losing the Bridgeport Education Holiday Bowl on Thursday night to the Baylor Bears, UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley walked away with a good memory.
The signal-caller set an all-time school mark with 3,740 passing yards on the season, breaking the old record set in 1998 by Cade McNown of 3,470, per UCLA gameday.
Hundley was terrific in the Holiday Bowl, throwing for 329 yards and a trio of touchdowns in defeat.
Of course with a new coaching staff led by Jim Mora Jr., there is hope for the UCLA football program going forward, and Hundley is a huge part of it.
As a freshman, Hundley gave glimpses of what could be, such as his performance on Nov. 3 against the Arizona Wildcats. Hundley threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns in that affair on 23-of-28 passing.
Hundley also showed to be a threat on the ground, rushing for nine touchdowns in his rookie campaign.
