Linebacker Eric Kendricks helped UCLA defeat Arizona, 66-10, last Saturday and earned Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week honors as a result.
Kendricks had 13 tackles, including seven in the third quarter, and two sacks versus the Wildcats. Kendricks has recorded double-digit tackles in two of UCLA's last three games and has 85 tackles and two sacks in nine games this season overall.
Arizona came into the game as the fourth-ranked offense in country, but were held to just 257 yards of total offense -- that's almost 300 yards below their season average.
Kendricks also forced a fumble in the third quarter which setup a UCLA touchdown on the very next play. The sophomore from Fresno, Calif. averages 9.67 tackles per game, which leads the Pac-12 and ranks 25th in the country.
At 7-2 overall and 4-2 in the conference, UCLA is in first-place in the Pac-12 South, one loss ahead of the USC Trojans.
UCLA will travel to play Washington State this Saturday.
