ESPN's Andy Katz reports that UCLA Bruins freshman Shabazz Muhammad will start Tuesday in place of injured forward David Wear as Ben Howland's team faces the Georgia Bulldogs at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The No. 1 overall recruit of 2012 made his debut on Monday night after being cleared by the NCAA and having been held out of UCLA's first three games. Muhammad scored 15 points off the bench as the Bruins fell, 78-70, to the Georgetown Hoyas.

The loss moved the Bruins (3-1) to the consolation bracket of the Progressive Legends Classic.

Wear was injured Monday attempting to defend a shot in the second half. The 6'10 forward fell hard on his back and did not return to the game, and Howland said afterward that his back was "really sore." In 15 minutes of play prior to the injury, Wear scored six points, grabbed three rebounds and recorded two steals.
