As the No. 25 UCLA Bruins prepare for their matchup against the California Golden Bears this weekend, they will unfortunately be without linebacker Jordan Zumwalt who will not be making starting this week, according to a report from Inside So Cal's Miguel Melendez.
Zumwalt, who had around 150 stitches in his forehead after getting hit by a car while riding scooter back on Sept. 23, participated in practice this week and is expected to see some time this weekend against Cal, according to head coach Jim Mora.
"He practiced. He did everything. He had his helmet on. He felt good and he's ready to play on Saturday night."
Zumwalt is the Bruins starting outside linebacker, who sat out of practice all of last week and did not travel with the team for its game at Colorado. Coach Mora noted that he will start Damien Holmes on Sunday In Zumwalt's place but will work Zumwalt into the game.
