The UCLA Bruins got a bit of good news on the injury front as they nurse bumps and bruises during the bye week this week, Inside UCLA reported on Tuesday.
Freshman Simon Goines was knocked out of the Bruins 21-14 victory over the Utah Utes on Saturday, Oct. 13 in the fourth quarter with a knee injury. Head coach Jim Mora said that a MRI came back negative on his knee and that Goines was getting some workout on the bike on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, starting left tackle Torian White had a successfully procedure to correct a heart rhythm issue on Tuesday. White is expected to miss a week of practice but Mora hopes he will be ready for the Bruins next game against the Arizona State Sun Devils on Oct. 27.
Cornerback Marcus Rios also got some work in on the bike in practice today. He didn't partake in full practice and has been suffering from sinus and migraine issues, which the team is trying to figure out a way to control.
