UCLA Vs. Oregon State Score Update: Bruins Don’t Score In Third Quarter, Lead 21-19

The UCLA Bruins controlled the first half of Saturday's game against the Oregon State Beavers, entering halftime with a 21-10 lead and lots of confidence. A low-scoring third quarter saw the lead get cut to 21-19.

Oregon State opened up the second half with possession and promptly turned a nine-play, 67-yard drive into three points as they closed within 21-13. UCLA responded by doing what was so effective for them in the second quarter: running the football. Eight rushing attempts in nine plays gave kicker Jeff Locke a field goal opportunity from 39 yards out, but the attempt was blocked and the Bruins came away with no points on the drive.

Both teams went back and forth with punts throughout the rest of the quarter, but Beavers quarterback Sean Mannion ended the quarter with a bang with a 45-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Bishop. The two point-conversion failed.

The Bruins enter the fourth quarter with a 21-19 edge but will need to step it up to secure the win. UCLA will receive the kickoff at the start of the fourth qarter.
