Chris Ward injured his ankle at UCLA Bruins football practice and had to be carted off; the severity of the injury is still unknown. Ward's injury could give Albert Cid a great opportunity to win the starting guard spot.

Defensive tackle Brandon Willis of the North Carolina Tar Heels is transferring back to the UCLA Bruins football team for the second time in a year. It's his third transfer between UNC and UCLA.
