UCLA Defeats Arizona State 71-53 At Pauley Pavilion

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Malcolm Lee scored 16 points, leading five players with double figures, as the UCLA Bruins defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils, 71-53, in a Pac-10 showdown at Pauley Pavilion. Tyler Honeycutt added 13 points in the win for UCLA (20-8, 11-4), which also saw 12 points apiece from Nelson Reeves and Joshua Smith. Reeves pulled down 12 rebounds as well for the Bruins, while Lazeric Jones netted 10 points and passed out 10 assists.

Arizona State (10-17, 2-13), which was held without a double-digit scorer, was led by Chanse Creekmur, who finished with nine points. The Sun Devils were held to a lackluster 42.9 percent shooting from the field during the opening 20 minutes, allowing UCLA to take a 39-29 lead into the break. The Bruins then connected on 59.1 percent from the floor in the second half to secure an 18-point win. UCLA shot 52.0 percent from the field during the meeting.
