The UCLA Bruins will be competing for a Pac-12 championship this season, but they might have to start it out without Anthony Stover.

The UCLA Bruins basketball team is getting off to this season on the wrong foot, the wrong head, the wrong shoulder. Two concussions and a shoulder injury in one week is rough, and two of them came to the same player!

Anthony Stover collided with JuCo transfer De'End Parker in practice last week and suffered a concussion a week ago; Parker got the worst of it and still is struggling, but Stover seemed ready to come back. Until today, when Rahshaun Haylock of FS West reported that he subluxed his shoulder in practice and will miss some time.

Stover's injury will put more pressure on Josh Smith early in the season, especially if Stover can't return in time for the second game of the Maui Invitational, where they will play Kansas or Georgetown. But there's a few weeks until that matchup (that game is Thanksgiving week), so Stover should have a good opportunity to recover by that matchup.
