It was a full week of upsets and surprising finishes at the 2012 Farmers Classic in Westwood. In Sunday's championship match, however, the surprising run of unseeded players came to a brutal end as No. 2 seed Sam Querrey completely demolished Ricardas Berankis.

Berankis had upended No. 6 seed Marinko Matosevic in the semifinals on Sunday, leaving Querrey as the final seeded player in the tournament. Querrey lived up to his seeding and then some in the finals, as he defeated Berankis in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2.

This is the third win for Querey in the Farmers Classic, who also claimed the title in the ATP U.S. Open Series tournament in 2009 and 2010. He only missed last year's event due to a shoulder injury, or else he might very well have picked up a fourth straight title on Sunday.

The final day of the 2012 Farmers Classic is upon us. The week-long event at UCLA has seen no shortage of upsets and is close to crowning a champion in the latest ATP event in the 2012 U.S. Open Series. No. 2 seed Sam Querrey managed to be the only seeded player left standing. He will face Ricardas Berankis in the finals on Sunday.

Berankis punched his ticket into the finals with a semifinal upset of No. 6 seed Marinko Matosevic on Saturday. Berankis ended up dispatching Matosevic in straight sets, 7-5, 6-1 to advance.

Querrey also advanced in straight sets, although he had a tougher time of it. He took his first set against Rajeev Ram, 6-3, but fell behind in the second set before battling back and ultimately prevailing, 7-6 (7-4).

The championship singles match will air live on Sunday, beginning at 1 p.m. PT on ESPN 2.

The 2012 Farmers Classic continued at UCLA on Friday. At the end of the day, the quarterfinals at the ATP U.S. Open Series event are in the books and Saturday's semifinal matches are set.

No. 2 seed and U.S. player Sam Querrey stayed alive in the tournament, albeit in interesting fashion. His quarterfinal opponent, No. 5 seed Xavier Malisse retired midway through the second set. It likely would have been academic anyway, as Querrey had won the first set 6-2 and was ahead 3-1 in the second set when Malisse withdrew.

The other three quarterfinals matches were a bit more more straightforward and every match was decided in straight sets. Ricardas Berankis upset No. 4 seed Nicolas Mahut, 6-4, 6-4. Likewise, Rajeev Ram upset No. 3 seed Leonardo Mayer, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3. No. 6 Marinko Matosevic dispatched Michael Russell, 6-2 6-3.
