The Los Angeles Dodgers snapped a seven-game losing streak on Sunday, and look to continue their winning ways when the first place Cincinnati Reds come to town for a three-game series at Dodger Stadium. Here is a look at the schedule, television broadcast information, and pitching matchups for the series.

Monday, 7:10 p.m. PDT (Prime Ticket)

Chad Billingsley (4-7, 4.18 ERA) looks to snap a personal three-game losing streak and seeks his first home win since April 11. Homer Bailey (5-6, 4.42) has allowed six runs in his last four road starts.

Tuesday, 7:10 p.m. PDT (KCAL)

Chris Capuano (9-3, 2.69) looks to take out his All-Star snub frustration on Cincinnati, facing bigger snub Johnny Cueto (9-4, 2.26), who could learn some diplomacy on how to handle not making the team.

Wednesday, 6:10 p.m. (Prime Ticket)

Aaron Harang (5-5, 3.97) gets the start on July 4 for the Dodgers, facing second-year man Mike Leake (3-5, 4.12) for the Reds.

The Los Angeles Dodgers finally scored some runs on Sunday, with a little help from three errors by the New York Mets. The Dodgers beat the Mets 8-3 on Sunday night to snap a seven-game losing streak, and matched their run total for their previous eight games.

Clayton Kershaw pitched seven strong innings, striking out nine for his sixth win of the year. He allowed three runs, but just one was earned. Kershaw was named to his second straight All-Star Game earlier in the day, and his manager had high praise for his ace after the game.

"I don't care what Clayton's record is. I'll take him any day of the week against anybody," manager Don Mattingly said. "If this guy isn't the best pitcher in baseball, he's right there."

Dee Gordon had two errors for the Dodgers, but he also had two hits and stole three bases.

The Dodgers welcome the Cincinnati Reds to town for a three-game series beginning Monday. Chad Billingsley starts the opener, against Homer Bailey for the Reds.

The Los Angeles Dodgers ended June on the lowest of notes on Saturday, falling 5-0 to the New York Mets for their seventh straight loss. But it is much worse than that.

Johan Santana allowed just one hit in seven scoreless innings, and Ike Davis doubled and hit a three-run home run for the Mets, who have won four straight games.

For the Dodgers, Saturday was their fifth shutout loss in their last six games. The Dodgers have not scored in their last 23 innings, scoring only in the fourth inning on Thursday night. That snapped a 33-inning scoreless streak, so the Dodgers have been held scoreless in 56 of their last 57 innings.

The Dodgers have lost 11 of their last 12 games, scoring just 15 runs during that span. That is the fewest runs scored by the Dodgers in any 12-game span since moving to Los Angeles in 1958.

Nathan Eovaldi allowed five runs in 5 1/3 innings for his fifth loss of the season. The Dodgers have scored five runs in his seven starts, including just three runs with Eovaldi in the game.

The Dodgers will try to avoid the four-game sweep on Sunday night, with Clayton Kershaw on the mound against Dillon Gee for the Mets.

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced the signing of their first round selection in the 2012 MLB Draft, 18th overall pick Corey Seager. He will be a guest at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, taking batting practice with the team, meeting with manager Don Mattingly, and being introduced to the crowd.

A few details on Seager from the Dodgers:

Seager, a 6-foot-4, 205-pounder, batted .519 with 10 home runs and 37 RBI this season to earn a selection as the Gatorade North Carolina Baseball Player of the Year. He also stole 13 bases while posting a 1.062 slugging percentage and a .664 on-base percentage. The younger brother of Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager was rated by Baseball America as the top third baseman in the 2012 draft.

Seager was selected for the 2010 USA Baseball 16-and-Under National Team and earned All-Tournament honors by helping Team USA win a gold medal at the Pan-American Games, batting .514 with a home run and 12 RBI in nine games.

Seager was the 30th of the Dodgers 40 draft picks to sign with the team.

Could the Dodgers swing a deal to land the veteran first baseman?

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros have been hammering out the final details of a deal that would send Carlos Lee to L.A. in exchange for cash and possibly a prospect or two, according to multiple reports. The Dodgers are desperate to add offense to their lineup with both Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier injured, and James Loney's lack of production is also a legitimate concern.

As for the Astros, they are a team under new management and would love to do nothing more than rid themselves of Lee's contract. The 36-year-old first baseman is set to earn $18.5M in 2012, and it appears the Dodgers would be willing to take on most of that salary should a deal be completed.

Here's Jon Heyman with the latest news as of Saturday:

The Astros "will do cartwheels'' if Carlos Lee accepts a trade to the Dodgers, one person familiar with their thinking said.

It isn't known whether an exchange of players between the teams has been agreed upon yet, but that part shouldn't be the hard part since the Astros want to deal Lee, who's worth far less than his $18.5-million contract now. The difficult part, folks agree, will be getting the approval of Lee, who has the right to veto trades to 14 of 29 other teams, including the Dodgers.

Lee was said to be reluctant to waive his veto power this winter when the Astros were shopping him. He has a profitable cattle farm in the Houston area, which is one of the reasons he rebuffed a bigger deal from the Giants to sign a $100-million, six-year Astros contract.

In any deal, the Astros would be expected to pay the majority of the $10 million or so that remains on Lee's $18.5-million salary. The Dodgers, under new rich ownership, would prefer to pay money than surrender prospects.

It makes sense for both parties involved to complete the deal; money really isn't much of an issue for L.A. anymore, while Houston would love to start the rebuilding process without their expensive, clunky first baseman in the mix. The part about Lee's no-trade clause is a bit concerning, and the Dodgers will be out of luck should he elect to exercise it.

In 2012, Lee is batting .290/.342/.412 with five homers and 29 runs driven in. His defense has been anywhere from below average to awful the las few seasons, and he cannot run the bases anymore due to his size and aging knees.

More to come throughout the day as talks continue to heat up.

The Los Angeles Dodgers can't seem to find anything to go their way lately, and on Friday night they matched up against R.A. Dickey of the New York Mets. That almost doesn't seem fair.

Dickey pitched eight shutout innings, striking out 10, as the Mets bludgeoned the Dodgers 9-0 at Dodger Stadium, the sixth straight loss for the Dodgers.

The Dodgers have lost 10 of their last 11 games and have been shutout in four of their previous five contests. The Dodgers snapped a 33-inning scoreless streak on Monday with a two-run explosion, but since then have gone scoreless in their last 14 innings.

Aaron Harang took the loss for the Dodgers, allowing five runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings.

Dickey won his 12th game of the year and saw his ERA drop to 2.15. "It's what we've been watching for pretty much the whole first half," Mets manager Terry Collins said after the game.

The Dodgers, who have scored 17 runs in their last 12 games, try to stop the bleeding on Saturday, with Nathan Eovaldi facing off with Johan Santana.

The Los Angeles Dodgers look to snap out of their slump that has seen them lose five straight games and nine of their last 10 contests. The Dodgers host the New York Mets on Friday night in the second game of a four-game series at Dodger Stadium.

Andre Ethier is out of the lineup for the second straight game after straining his left oblique on Wednesday in San Francisco. Ethier was able to avoid a trip to the disabled list, and is listed as day-to-day by the Dodgers. Aaron Harang gets the start for the Dodgers on Friday, facing the amazing knuckleball of R.A. Dickey, looking for his 12th win of the season for the Mets.

When it comes to the trade deadline, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been staying pretty quiet over the past few seasons. But with the new ownership group in place and already making a splash by signing 21-year old Cuban defector Yasiel Puig to a $42 million contract, the Boys in Blue are ready to do more than just observe at this year's trade deadline, according to team President Stan Kasten:

"I promise you we'll explore everything. Look, as candid as we can be, we're the Dodgers. We're supposed to be big. We intend to be big. Will we look at big things? You bet."

When asked about the lack of top-quality players in their farm system, a key to making trade deadline acquisitions, Kasten was not too worried, knowing that he can put up cash where other teams put up a body:

"I wish we were deeper in that regard," Kasten said. "But if the resources involve money, we'll be very flexible."

As the Dodgers look to remain in contention, they could be one of the most active teams at the deadline this summer. Lord (and Stan Kasten) knows they have the money to do so.
