Dee Gordon's walk-off single in the 10th inning gave the Los Angeles Dodgers a 2-1 win over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday afternoon at Dodger Stadium. It capped a comeback for the Dodgers, who scored the tying run in the ninth inning.

Sunday was the fourth one-run game in a row for the Dodgers, who have had 10 one-run contests in their last 14 games. It was also a tremendous pitching duel.

Chris Capuano allowed just one run in eight innings for the Dodgers, striking out a season-high 12 in the process. But he was bested by Jose Quintana, who pitched eight scoreless innings, allowing only five hits. Despite throwing just 77 pitches in his eight innings, Quintana was pulled in favor of closer Addison Reed in the ninth inning.

The Dodgers scored a run off Reed on two singles and a sacrifice fly. That might have been the second run of the game for the Dodgers, but they had a run taken off the board when Matt Treanor was called out on appeal for leaving third base too early on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning. Manager Don Mattingly was ejected, and said after the game that replays showed Treanor was on the bag for 1.3 seconds.

The Dodgers are off Monday, then open a nine-game road trip Tuesday night in Oakland.

The Dodgers on Saturday look to do something they haven't done since the 1959 World Series: win a series against the Chicago White Sox. This is the sixth time the Dodgers and White Sox have faced each other in interleague play, and Chicago has won the previous five series. After their 7-6 win on Friday night, the Dodgers look for their second straight win.

Chad Billingsley takes the mound looking for his third straight win, having allowed two runs in 14 innings in his previous two starts, with 11 strikeouts during that span. Philip Humber gets the call for the White Sox, having lost two straight starts by allowing five runs in each of his last two outings.

Elian Herrera, who started in left field on Friday night, starts in center field tonight for the Dodgers. It is his fifth start in center field this season. Here are Saturday's starting lineups:

White Sox (34-30)

Elian Herrera doubled twice and drove in three runs on Friday night for the Los Angeles Dodgers, but it was a wild pitch that produced the winning run in the Dodgers' 7-6 win over the Chicago White Sox in the series opener at Dodger Stadium.

With runners on first and third and two outs in the eighth inning, Matt Thornton threw wild and allowed James Loney to score from third base what proved to be the winning run for the Dodgers, who played their eighth one-run game in their last 12 contests.

Herrera's second double tied the game in the sixth inning, a frame in which the Dodgers rallied for five runs to turn a 5-1 deficit into a 6-5 lead. Herrera scored on a single by Juan Rivera to give the Dodgers their first lead of the night.

Clayton Kershaw struggled, allowing five runs in his six innings, including a pair of home runs to Adam Dunn and Alex Rios. Kershaw did strikeout seven on the night.

"I think once I got to 0-2 I didn't execute the way I wanted to," Kershaw said after the game.

Kenley Jansen pitched a scoreless ninth for his 11th save of the season.

Chad Billingsley gets the start for the Dodgers on Saturday night in the second game of the series, facing Philip Humber for the White Sox.
