For the second consecutive night, the Atlanta Braves got to Dodgers closer Javy Guerra in the ninth inning, beating the Dodgers 4-2 Wednesday night at Dodger Stadium. Atlanta had five consecutive singles off Guerra, including three after Guerra was hit squarely in the jaw by a line drive off the bat of Brian McCann.

Guerra remained in the game after being checked out by team assistant trainer Greg Harrel. After the game, Guerra underwent concussion tests and passed, though his jaw was visibly swollen when speaking with reporters.

"I gotta get the ball down. If I don't keep the ball up it doesn't come back at me," Guerra said.

Guerra's second blown save of the season cost Ted Lilly a win, after Lilly continued his great start to the season. Lilly allowed one run on three hits in seven innings, and left with a 2-1 lead, thanks in part to Matt Kemp.

Kemp launched a solo home run in the sixth inning, his major league leading 10th of the season to give the Dodgers the lead. It tied the Dodgers franchise record for home runs in April, tying Gary Sheffield's April 2000 output.

The Dodgers have four games left in April, beginning Friday night at Dodger Stadium with Clayton Kershaw facing Ross Detwiler and the Washington Nationals.

Tuesday's 4-3 loss was the first home loss of the season for the Dodgers, who boast an MLB-best 7-1 record at home.

Ted Lilly gets the start for the Dodgers, looking for his third win in three starts this season. Brandon Beachy starts for Atlanta.
The Los Angeles Dodgers saw their eight-game home winning streak come to an end Tuesday night as they fell to the Atlanta Braves 4-3 at Dodger Stadium in the second game of a three-game series. Martin Prado's RBI triple off Javy Guerra in the top of the ninth inning, just off the glove of center fielder Matt Kemp, gave the Braves the win.

"I definitely have to execute there, the count was in my favor, and I didn't put them away, either Pastornicky or Prado," Guerra (1-2) said after the game.

The Dodgers got on the board early with two runs in the first inning on a two-run home run by Juan Rivera, his first of the season. Rivera, batting cleanup with the left-handed Mike Minor on the mound, also singled in the sixth inning, but he strained his left hamstring while running to first base.

Rivera was examined by trainer Sue Falsone on the field, then left the game and is considered day-to-day. Manager Don Mattingly said he doesn't expect to play on Wednesday, but that he would know more about the severity of the injury after Rivera reports on Wednesday.

"Right now they're saying the hamstring attachment is really low right above the knee. I think we'll know a lot more tomorrow," Mattingly said.

Ted Lilly starts the series finale for the Dodgers (13-5), who will face Brandon Beachy.

Before Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Braves at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers placed relief pitcher Matt Guerrier on the disabled list with right elbow tendinopathy. To take his place on the roster, the Dodgers recalled left-handed pitcher Michael Antonini from Triple A Albuquerque.

Antonini, 26, is a starter in the minors, but will be used in long relief or as a situational left-hander out of the bullpen while with the Dodgers.

Guerrier has been dealing with the elbow problem for most of the season, and last pitched on Wednesday in Milwaukee. But with a shortened bullpen Monday night, manager Don Mattingly said he could have used Guerrier in an emergency situation.

"We would have used him last night if we had to because we were a couple of guys down, knowing that he was probably going to be DL'd at the end of the day," Mattingly said. "Our biggest problem with Matt is he doesn't know if he throws one day how he will feel the next day."

Guerrier was 0-1 with a 2.70 ERA in seven games for the Dodgers, with five walks and four strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings. Antonini was 1-0 with a 4.26 in four games, including three start, in the Pacific Coast League.

Relief pitcher Todd Coffey is eligible to return from the disabled list on Sunday, so Antonini's time with the big club could be as brief as four games. Coffey will pitch in a rehab assignment with Class A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday and Friday.

The Dodgers' 7-0 home start to 2012 is their second best home start since Dodger Stadium opened in 1962.

Aaron Harang makes his fourth start of the season for the Dodgers Tuesday night, including his second home start. Harang struck out nine straight Padres in his last home start, on April 13, setting a new franchise record. Mike Minor gets the call for the Braves.

Juan Uribe had four hits and drove in three runs to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 7-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves Monday night at Dodger Stadium. Uribe highlighted a stellar night for the bottom of the Dodgers batting order, as James Loney and A.J. Ellis, with Uribe the 6-7-8 hitters in the lineup, produced the bulk of the offense.

Uribe picked up his first four-hit game since 2007, and Loney and Ellis added two hits each, providing more than enough offense for Chris Capuano, who pitched seven innings allowing one run for the win.

Manager Don Mattingly was happy for Uribe, who was hitting just .211/.231/.237 before Monday's game.

"It is nice because this guy is a good teammate and the guys love him," Mattingly said. "He always has a smile on his face. He has continued to play good defense for us. The fact that he was able to have a night here at home, it was nice to be able to do that in front of our fans."

Capuano walked four but he wiggled out of some jams and retired eight of his last nine batters in his longest outing of the season.

"We talked about keep staying on the attack and keep going after these guys. They've got a dangerous club. They'll hurt you. You have to make sure you're making pitches and be aggressive in the right spots."

The Dodgers are 7-0 at home this season, their second best start in the 51 years of Dodger Stadium. The 2009 team started the season 13-0 at home.

The Dodgers are 6-0 at home this season.

The Los Angeles Dodgers return home to Dodger Stadium on Monday, where they still haven't lost this season. The Dodgers put their 6-0 home record on the line against the Atlanta Braves for a three-game series beginning on Monday night, with Chris Capuano on the mound.

Jair Jurrjens gets the call on the mound for Atlanta, a team that has given their pitchers great run support all season. The Braves lead the National League with 91 runs, an average of 5.69 per game.

Capuano is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA in the early going this season, and is coming off his best start of the year, a no-decision in Milwaukee in which he allowed two runs in six innings.

Matt Kemp had his 10-game hitting streak snapped Sunday in Houston with an 0-for-3 game, but is still hitting .450 with nine home runs in 16 games. No other Dodger has ever had as many home runs through 16 games as Kemp this season.

The Dodgers have won seven straight games at Dodger Stadium dating back to last season and have won 11 of their last 12 home games. The Dodgers are 29-12 at home since last July 7.
