The Los Angeles Lakers are inching closer to their fifth consecutive Pacific Division title, and have three regular season games remaining to get it done. Kobe Bryant is scheduled to return after missing seven games with a left shin injury, but the Lakers have a tough weekend schedule against the top two teams in the Western Conference, the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Friday - Lakers at San Antonio (6:30 p.m. PDT, ESPN, KCAL): The Spurs are a game ahead of the Thunder in the loss column in their race for the top seed in the West, so the Lakers will definitely play a factor in playoff seeding. Friday in San Antonio is the third meeting in 10 days between the Lakers and Spurs, with each team winning on the road. The Lakers hope that trend continues.

Sunday - Oklahoma City at Lakers (12:30 p.m. PDT, ABC): Derek Fisher makes his third return to Staples Center as a member of the Thunder, and second road battle against the Lakers. The Lakers are 0-2 against Oklahoma City this season.

The Lakers' magic number to clinch the Pacific Division is two.

Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol had their way Wednesday night with a depleted Golden State Warriors team, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 99-87 win at Oracle Arena in Oakland. The game wasn't really as close as the final score indicates, as the Lakers led by as many as 23 points in the fourth quarter.

Bynum scored 31 points and grabbed nine rebounds on the night and made 12 of his 14 field goals. Gasol turned in his fifth career triple-double with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. With the big men dominating, the Lakers had their pick of easy baskets all game long. The Lakers had 34 assists on 37 made field goals.

Metta World Peace nearly had a double-double of his own with 18 points and nine assists. Kobe Bryant missed the game, his seventh straight DNP with a shin injury, but he told ESPN's Ric Bucher at halftime that he plans to play on Friday night in San Antonio.

Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 17 points.

The Lakers (40-23) hold a half-game lead over the Los Angeles Clippers for the Pacific Division crown, and hold the tiebreaker over their crosstown rivals. Any combination of Lakers wins and Clippers losses totaling three will give the Lakers the division and No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.

The Los Angeles Lakers would certainly like to have Kobe Bryant back in the lineup, but seeing that the Lake Show is taking on the short-handed and absolutely tanking Golden State Warriors Wednesday night, it seems like a good night not to have the Black Mamba push it too far.

Head coach Mike Brown spoke about the injury before the game, noting that it's not the time to try and rush Kobe back:

"If (finishing ahead of the Clippers) was our goal, then we'd be trying to rush Kobe back, but the reality of it is, whether we finish first, second, third, fourth, fifth, it doesn't matter," said Brown. "I feel like this team is confident enough and good enough to win on anybody's floor."
