The Los Angeles Clippers have made a habit of extinguishing long losing streaks this season, and Monday night in Dallas was no different as the Clippers demolished the Mavericks 94-75 at American Airlines Center in Texas. The win for the Clippers was their first victory in Dallas since April 19, 2006, snapping a 10-game road losing streak to the Mavericks.

Randy Foye hit a franchise-record-tying eight three-pointers en route to a game-high 28 points in the win. Foye made eight of 15 from beyond the arc and 10 of 19 field goals overall for the Clippers, who shot 47% for the game. Blake Griffin had 15 points and 16 rebounds.

The Clippers have now won six straight games, their longest such streak since winning six straight games from March 18-31, 1992. The win also gives the Clippers the season series win over Dallas, two games to one, which could become important if the two remain as the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds. If the two teams end up tied for the No. 4 seed, they would play each other in the opening round with the Clippers having home court advantage.

Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 19 points, while Jason Terry added 15 points off the bench.

The Clippers, who are one game out of first place in the Pacific Division, host the division-leading Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night at Staples Center.

To the victors go the spoils, and the Los Angeles Clippers were victorious in all four of their games last week, closing the gap with the Los Angeles Lakers in the Pacific Division. Point guard Chris Paul had a stellar week, and on Monday was duly honored as the Western Conference Player of the Week, the NBA announced.

Paul averaged 21.5 points and 11.3 assists per game last week as the Clippers went 4-0 in home games against New Orleans Hornets, Phoenix Coyotes, Portland Trail Blazers, and Utah Jazz. Paul shot 56% from the field for the week, and his driving layup with five seconds remaining Friday night gave the Clippers a 98-97 win over Portland.

Paul had more three-pointers made (seven) than turnovers (six) last week.

Paul's teammate, Blake Griffin, was also a finalist for the award. Griffin averaged 22.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while shooting 66.1% from the field in four wins, and has scored 20 points or more in seven straight games.

Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics won the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

The Los Angeles Clippers played the first 20-game calendar month in the NBA since February 1967 and though they started the month struggling, the Clippers ended with a flourish, a five-game homestand sweep that has kept the Clippers in the thick of the Pacific Division race with the Lakers, as well as in line to have home court advantage in a playoff series for the first time in franchise history.

Here is a look at the week ahead for the Clippers, highlighted by battles with the defending NBA champions and the battle of Staples Center.

Monday - Clippers at Dallas (5:30 p.m., Fox Sports West): These two teams have played a pair of close games this season, with the Clippers earning a two-point win in Los Angeles on January 18 and the Mavericks prevailing by four points in Dallas on February 16.

Wednesday - Lakers at Clippers (7:30 p.m., Prime Ticket, KCAL, ESPN): The winner of this game will have the tiebreaker, and the inside track at winning the Pacific Division, as the two teams open the week separated by just a game in the loss column.
