Benoit Pouliot had a goal and an assist to lead the Boston Bruins to a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks Sunday night at Honda Center. The home loss snapped a two-game winning streak for the Ducks. Anaheim was unable to mount much of an attack on Boston, and Bruins goaltender Marty Turco saved 25 of 27 shots in the win.

Zdeno Chara scored his 12th goal of the season at 4:37 of the second period to give Boston a 1-0 lead, and 82 seconds later Pouliot scored his 13th goal of the season to double the Bruins' advantage.

Teemu Selanne scored at 9:11 of the second period for the Ducks to cut the deficit to 2-1, his 24th goal of the season, a power play goal assisted by Cam Fowler and Ryan Getzlaf. The goal was the 661st of Selanne's illustrious career, good for 12th place on the all-time NHL scoring list and three goals behind Jaromir Jagr for 11th place.

Matt Beleskey appeared to tie the game at 2-2 midway through the third period on a give-and-go with Devante Smith-Pelly, but the goal was waived off for goalie interference.

Brian Rolston scored for Boston at 13:06 of the third period to give the Bruins a 3-1 lead, but Lubomir Visnovsky brought the Ducks back to within one with his seventh goal of the season, at with 2:29 remaining in the game. But Anaheim was never able to score the equalizer.

The Ducks conclude their homestand on Wednesday night hosting the San Jose Sharks.

The Anaheim Ducks look for their third straight win Sunday night as they host the Boston Bruins at Honda Center. At 11 points out of a playoff spot with just seven games remaining, the Ducks are likely playing spoiler, but they haven't yet been officially eliminated.

"I don't think at any point we've just thrown in the towel," coach Bruce Boudreau told MLB.com. "It's the same as the season. We were dead and buried in December and January. We're still not eliminated yet. We are just going to keep playing as hard as we can and hopefully win the last seven games."

The Ducks play three of their next four contests in Anaheim before ending their season with a three-game road trip that will take them to Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary. Boston, on top in the Northeast Division, has won three of its last four games, including a 4-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center on Saturday.

This is the only meeting between the two teams this season.

Sunday's 5 p.m. PDT game will be televised by Prime Ticket. For more news and information on Ducks hockey, be sure to read Anaheim Calling.
