<p><font size="2"><font class="TSN1"> Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Reeves Nelson scored a career-high 24 points and tipped in the winning shot at the buzzer to lead the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/ucla-bruins">UCLA Bruins</a> to an 86-84 victory over the California Golden Bears in a Pac-10 Conference showdown at Pauley Pavilion. Lazeric Jones also scored 24 points for UCLA (12-6, 4-2 Pac-10), while Tyler Honeycutt contributed 15 points. </font></font></p>
<p><font size="2"><font class="TSN1"> Harper Camp paced California (9-9, 2-4) with 21 points. <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/players/123296/allen-crabbe">Allen Crabbe</a> added 17 points, while Jorge Gutierrez scored 15 points, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/players/123295/richard-solomon">Richard Solomon</a> scored 12 points and Mark Sanders-Frison finished with 10 points. UCLA hit 6-of-13 three-pointers in the first half, en route to a 41-35 lead at the break. </font></font></p>
<p><font size="2"><font class="TSN1"> In the second half, Crabbe hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 84 with 10 seconds to go. After Honeycutt's potential game-winner went awry, Nelson tipped the ball in with his right hand as the buzzer sounded to seal the UCLA victory. The Bruins shot 50 percent from the field on the night. The Bruins host Stanford Saturday morning at Pauley Pavilion.<br></font></font></p>

<p>After a pair of wins on the road last weekend in Oregon, the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/ucla-bruins">UCLA Bruins</a> return home to host the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/teams/california-golden-bears">Cal Golden Bears</a> tonight at Pauley Pavilion. The Bruins are 8-2 at home this season, while this is just the fifth road game for Cal all season. The Bruins (11-6, 3-2 in Pac-10 play) have won two straight, and eight of their last 10 games.</p>
<p><a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/players/100900/reeves-nelson">Reeves Nelson</a>, the leading scorer and second-leading rebounder for the Bruins this season, will look to improve on his worst game of the season Saturday at Oregon. The junior forward played just 15 minutes, didn't attempt a single shot, had three rebounds and five fouls. On the season, he is averaging 13.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.</p>
<p>Cal (9-8, 2-3), like UCLA, has a balanced scoring attack, with four players scoring in double figures. Junior forward <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/players/28829/harper-kamp">Harper Kamp</a> leads the Bears with 13.8 points per game, and is second on the team averaging 5.6 boards per game. Senior center <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-basketball/players/100862/markhuri-sanders-frison">Markhuri Sanders-Frison</a> leads Cal with 8.1 rebounds per contest.</p>
<p>Last season, the Bruins and Bears split their regular season series, with each team winning on the road. Cal then defeated UCLA in the semifinals of the Pac-10 Tournament, 85-72. UCLA is 37-8 all time against Cal at Pauley Pavilion. Tonight's 7:37 p.m. PST game will be televised by Prime Ticket, with Bill Macdonald, Don MacLean, and Courtney Jones on the call.</p>
