The Nebraska Cornhuskers and Wisconsin Badgers will face off next weekend in the Big Ten Championship Game, the winner earning a trip to L.A. for the 2013 Rose Bowl.
Nebraska earned at least a share of the Big Ten Legends Division title with a 13-7 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday. Nebraska scored 10 points in the third quarter to take the lead from Iowa and held on for the win late.
The No. 14 Cornhuskers finished the regular season 10-2 overall and 7-1 in Big Ten play. Even though the Michigan Wolverines could tie them for the division title, Nebraska holds the tiebreaker and will represent the Legends in the conference title game.
Wisconsin will be hoping to return to the Rose Bowl for the third straight season. The Badgers have represented the Big Ten in Pasadena the last two season, losing to TCU in 2011 and Oregon in 2012. The Badgers finished the season 7-4 overall and 4-3 in conference play. Despite finishing third in the Leaders Division, Wisconsin will represent it since Ohio St. and Penn State are both ineligible for postseason play.
In the regular season meeting between the two schools, Nebraska came from behind for a 30-27 victory.
The Big Ten Championship Game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:17 p.m. PT and will be televised on FOX.
