The Oregon Ducks may now be out of the national championship picture but their loss could possibly be the Rose Bowl's gain as CBS Sports predicts that the Ducks will face the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1 in Pasadena.
The Ducks were upset by the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday, knocking them out of the coveted top two spots in order to play in the BCS National Championship game. At 10-1, the Ducks bring a heavy following due to their stylish uniforms and explosive offense and whatever game they play in has a good chance to provide a show for the fans of that bowl. If it's the Rose Bowl, the Ducks will bring their 51.1 points per game and their 313.5 rushing yards to Pasadena.
At 9-2 and one of the more forgotten about top teams in the country, the Cornhuskers will get tired of constantly hearing how much the Ohio St. Buckeyes' postseason ban is the only reason the Cornhuskers are in line to play in this game. The Cornhuskers will have something to prove as they bring the 8th-best rushing attack in the country at 256.9 yards per game and an offense that scores at a 37.5 points per game clip. They'll have to have every offensive play in their arsenal ready in order to score with the Ducks.
