The Los Angeles Lakers have made big moves this offseason. The biggest story thus far has been the Lakers signing veteran point guard Steve Nash, who will finally give Kobe Bryant a reliable point guard for the next few years. Combine these two with Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum and the rest of the roster, and expectations will be very high in L.A.
Nash will make his Lakers debut against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, October 30. That is the season opener for the NBA, along with two other games. L.A. will then travel north to take on the Portland Trail Blazers the following night. After an off-day on Thursday, they'll face the Clippers at Staples Center in what is sure to be a great game between two emerging rivals.
Los Angeles will play yet again on Christmas day. They will face the New York Knicks on December 25, who should be a very interesting team to watch now that Jeremy Lin is out of the picture.
