Lakers Sign Antwan Jamison, Re-Sign Jordan Hill

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to fortify their frontline with more quality signings. It's looking likely that Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum will remain the starting bigs, and now L.A. will be able to get the players they want to do the things they want. Antwan Jamison (one year deal, veteran's minimum) and Jordan Hill (two years, $7 million) will be providing quality help off the bench.

Jamison is on the downside of his career, but he's doing pretty well, averaging 17 points, six rebounds, and two assists per game while shooting 34% from three point range this past season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Although he's down to 40% shooting overall, he does provide another offensive weapon off the bench who can guard forwards and big men.

Hill is also coming off a solid season where he became the primary Laker big off the bench during the playoffs. Hill averaged nearly five points and over six rebounds per game during 12 playoff appearances, and he should continue serving the Lakers well in his role off the bench.
