Lakers owner Jerry Buss was hospitalized on Monday after suffering from severe dehydration on Monday, according to a TMZ report:

According to sources, 78-year-old Buss fell ill at his home around 9pm and someone inside the house called 911. The L.A. City Fire Department responded and paramedics rushed Jerry to a local L.A. hospital.

It's unclear if Jerry's still being treated, or has been released.

Buss, the owner of the Lakers since 1979, was in the hospital less than a year ago for blood clots in his legs. He is the author of modern Lakers history that gave us Magic Johnson and The Showtime Lakers, then Shaq and Kobe years later. Under Buss, the Lakers have thrived as one of the most compelling organizations in sports.
