Kobe Bryant Injury: Bryant To Miss Second Straight Game With Injured Shin

According to a tweet from Mike Trudell, the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant will miss his second straight game with a shin injury as the Lakers travel to face the New Orleans Hornets.

Bryant missed last night's 125-105 loss to the Phoenix Suns as the Lakers couldn't take advantage of their dominant frontline of Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum combining for 53 points and 31 rebounds.

Bryant was injured last Saturday in the Lakers' last game against the Hornets but was able to fend off the injury for four games afterwards. Head trainer Gary Vitti sat him down for Sunday's game and tonight's game as well.

Bryant is tops in the league in total minutes played and leads the NBA in scoring at 28.1 points per game. The Lakers are currently the no. 3 seed in the Western Conference with a 35-22 record.
