Pau Gasol injury: Lakers big man out Sunday

Pau Gasol will miss his fourth straight game on Sunday against the Jazz because of knee troubles.

Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol will miss his fourth straight game Sunday when the Lakers take on the Utah Jazz.

According to Lakers.com's Mike Trudell, a return date is not yet certain for Gasol or for point guard Steve Nash, who has missed considerable time with a non-displaced fracture in his leg.

Gasol is dealing with tendinitis in his knee, which has limited him thus far this year. After missing the Lakers' meeting with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni said it "could be any day" that the 7-foot veteran returned, but he will not be in action on Sunday.

D'Antoni left the possibility that either Nash or Gasol could return to the team during its next road trip, which begins Tuesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he could not be certain about either player's timetable.
