NBA scores: Big games throughout the weekend included the Lakers losing to the Magic

Both conferences had top teams facing one another as the hierarchy of the league continues to take shape.

The Los Angeles Lakers split the two games they played this weekend, knocking off the Denver Nuggets 122-103 on Friday before falling to the Orlando Magic 113-103 in Dwight Howard's first game against his former team.

The Los Angeles Clippers had a light weekend with just one game and they blew out the Sacramento Kings, 116-81, on Saturday behind 17 points from Jamal Crawford.

In other big games around the league, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Utah Jazz on Friday behind 25 points from Kevin Durant.

On Saturday, the Miami Heat knocked off yet another supposed Eastern Conference challenger by defeating the Brooklyn Nets, 102-89, behind 34 points from Dwyane Wade. The Milwaukee Bucks went into Boston and beat the Celtics, 91-88, behind 18 points from Larry Sanders. And in a battle of Western Conference powers, the San Antonio Spurs beat the Memphis Grizzlies, 99-95 in overtime, behind 30 points from Tony Parker.
