The Los Angeles Lakers are just five games into the regular season, but few expected them to get off to a 1-4 start. After losing 95-86 to Utah on Wednesday, the Lakers now have the worst record in the Western Conference.

With Wednesday's results, the Lakers are now the only one-win team in the Western Conference. They entered Wednesday tied with Phoenix and Sacramento at the bottom of the Pacific Division, but both the Kings and Suns won. Los Angeles is two games behind the Clippers and Golden State Warriors in the division and three games back of San Antonio and Dallas who lead the West at 4-1.

While the Lakers slumped to 1-4, the Clippers kept pace in the Pacific Division with a 106-84 win against the Spurs. The much needed win came after back-to-back losses and moved the Clippers to 3-2 on the season. Los Angeles is tied with the Golden State Warriors atop the division and for the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference.
