Lakers vs. Blazers final score: Struggles in Portland continue with 116-106 loss

The Los Angeles Lakers still have yet to win as a team in the Dwight Howard era, falling to the Portland Trail Blazers 116-106.

The Los Angeles Lakers are still winless with Dwight Howard and Steve Nash. The Lakers fell to the Portland Trail Blazers 116-106 and are now 0-2 on the regular season. Portland won its first game of the season and continued its success against Los Angeles at home.

All five of Portland's starters hit double figures. Damian Lillard made his first start, scoring 23 points and dishing 11 assists. Wesley Matthews added 22, and Nicolas Batum led all scorers with 26 points.

The Lakers were led by Dwight Howard with 33 points and 14 rebounds. Kobe Bryant added 30 points but also turned the ball over seven times. Steve Nash had to leave the game early with a shin injury.

The key stat of the game? The Lakers had 24 turnovers and struggled to get into their offense.

The Lakers have now lost 12 of their last 14 games against the Blazers in the Rose Garden, and they have lost 17 of their last 21 in Portland in the regular season dating back to 2002.
