Los Angeles Laker fans who are also Verizon FiOS customers will no longer have to worry about not being able to watch Lakers' games this season as Verizon announced they have reached a deal with Time Warner Cable Sports to carry Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes.
The two networks broadcast not only Lakers games, but also LA Galaxy and Los Angeles Sparks games. The Verizon FiOS deal comes only hours after Charter cable and Time Warner Cable Sports announced a similar agreement. Both deals come after long negotiations and just in time for the start of the NBA regular season.
Complete details, including when the networks will be available on the Verizon FiOS channel lineup will be announced in the coming days. The Lakers open their season on October 30 against Dallas, but that game will be nationally televised on TNT. The first game scheduled to be broadcast on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes will be against Portland on October 31.
