The Lakers take the court for their second preseason game of the year against the Portland Trail Blazers at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif. on Wednesday night. This is also the second of four Lakers preseason games that will take place in California outside of Staples Center.
Los Angeles lost its initial game to the Golden State Warriors after head coach Mike Brown pulled all the starters at halftime. At that point, the young Warriors went on a 35-0 run to seize control and cruise to an easy 110-83 victory. This will be the first preseason game of the year for the Blazers.
Dwight Howard will sit out the game as he recovers from back surgery. Howard also missed the Lakers' match-up with the Warriors. The probable starting lineup includes Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Robert Sacre, Pau Gasol and Metta World Peace.
The game is scheduled to tip-off at 7 p.m. PT.
