Lakers Vs. Bucks Final Score: Kobe Bryant Breaks Record, But Lakers Lose On Road Again 100-89

The Los Angeles Lakers continued a pair of disturbing trends on Saturday night at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. They scored under 100 points for the 13th consecutive game, a franchise record in the shot clock era, and lost 100-89 to the Milwaukee Bucks. It was the fourth consecutive road loss for the Lakers, who fell to 1-7 away from home on the season.

The Lakers got as close as to within four points in the second half, but never closer. The Lakers snapped a three-game winning streak in Milwaukee. Drew Gooden scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Milwaukee, who won for the first time in seven tries without injured center Andrew Bogut this season.

Kobe Bryant nearly had a triple-double with 27 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds, but the Lakers continued to have trouble on offense. Bryant scored 20 of his 27 points in the second half, and in the fourth period set a new Lakers franchise record for free throws made, passing Jerry West. Kobe has made 7,163 free throws in his career.

Pau Gasol tied a season high with 15 rebounds, but made just six of 18 shots from the field en route to his 12 points. Andrew Bynum had 15 points and nine rebounds for the Lakers, but was really a non-factor after a seven-point first quarter.

Rookie guard Andrew Goudelock, who spent Friday night in a Milwaukee hospital after suffering from dehydration, continued to impress on Saturday with 13 points in 23 minutes. That makes 27 points for the rookie in his last two games.

Ersan Ilyasova and Mike Dunleavy each scored 15 points off the bench for Milwaukee, and the two combined to make 13 of 17 shots from the field.

Bryant is three field goals shy of tying Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most field goals made in Lakers franchise history. The Lakers move on to battle the Minnesota Timberwolves in Minneapolis on Sunday night.
