The way the Los Angeles Lakers are playing Thursday night, one might think they were at the end of a set of two or three nights of consecutive games, rather than have the two days of rest that they had before Thursday. After three quarters at American Airlines Arena in Miami, the Lakers trail the Miami Heat 77-56.
Bad shooting, turnovers, lackluster passes, and poor transition defense have been the norm on Thursday. Here is a sampling of the reaction from the third quarter regarding the Lakers:
The offense has been so bad and out of sync on Thursday that Pau Gasol, who leads the Lakers with 21. points, has taken three shots from beyond the three-point line on the night. He made one, so he's got that going for him.
