Lakers Vs. Nuggets: Lakers Trail At Half As Kobe Remains Short Of Milestone

With one half in the books, the Los Angeles Lakers trail the Denver Nuggets with the score 47-36. The Lakers are doing a good job on defense, holding Denver to just 42% shooting from the field; but they've been even colder themselves shooting 32%. At the half, Kobe Bryant has three points leaving him one point shy of 28,000 points.

Neither team has had a player truly take charge of this game, as the Lakers are lead by Paul Gasol with 8 points and Denver has two players with 10. Andrew Bynum already has 8 rebounds, but the Lakers are being out-rebounded 24-20. Not only have both teams been poor shooting the ball, but the turnovers have been high as well with the teams combining for 17 turnovers.

The Denver Nuggets have had a comfortable margin of victory throughout the game. They finished the first quarter with a five point lead, and then outscored the Lakers by six in the second quarter. All of the Nuggets field goals came from inside the paint in the second quarter, so the Lakers need Andrew Bynum to be a big presence in the key as the game progresses.
