At 33 years, 131 days old Bryant is the youngest ever to reach the 28,000-point plateau, and the fifth fastest in number of games to reach the milestone. Coincidentally, five of the six players to reach the plateau spent time on the Los Angeles Lakers. Only Michael Jordan reached the 28,000 mark without donning a Laker uniform.
