Devin Ebanks' Stress Fracture To Cost Lakers Rookie Three Weeks

The Lakers learned today rookie forward Devin Ebanks has a stress fracture in his left tibia and will miss at least three weeks, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports. Ebanks, the 43rd overall pick in last June's NBA Draft, has played in only 20 games this season. He is averaging 3.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in 5.9 minutes.

Given that Ebanks has hardly played this season, his injury means more for him than it does to the two-time defending World Champions, who are well equipped enough to withstand his absence. He already faced an uphill battle for playing time.
