Kobe Bryant Needs 49 Points To Reach 28,000 In His Career

Kobe Bryant is closing in on another scoring milestone, though he would need quite an effort on Thursday night as the Los Angeles Lakers host the New York Knicks to reach his latest feat. Bryant needs 49 points to reach 28,000 in his career.

Bryant has been the youngest player in NBA history to reach 23,000, 24,000, 25,000, 26,000, and 27,000 points, and would be the youngest to reach 28,000 as well. Kobe is 33 years, 128 days old on Thursday, over a year younger than Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who was 34 years, 363 days old when he reached the milestone in 1982.

There are only five players in league history to score 28,000 points.
