The Los Angeles Lakers are going into the second game of a back-to-back-to-back a little banged up. Kobe Bryant is of course injured, but you'll expect he'll play without too significant a dropoff in his play (although fatigue could be a factor in this contest).
However, two more Lakers got injured in their contest with the Chicago Bulls on Christmas Day. Pau Gasol has a right shoulder sprain, which could affect his polished shooting form. Josh McRoberts also has a left thumb sprain, which might make it harder for him to haul in the rebounds. Both are expected to play against the Sacramento Kings.
With no Andrew Bynum for the next several contests, the Lakers need their big men to stay healthy, or they could become especially vulnerable against other formidable foes. Gasol and McRoberts need to be in top form for this contest.
