"Not a well-played game on either side," said Los Angeles head coach Phil Jackson. "We had a good game plan inside and that’s what we wanted. We executed okay, not great, but okay." Bynum made two free throws and Gasol converted a pair at the foul line to give Los Angeles a 64-52 lead midway through the third quarter. The Lakers continued to pull away. Derek Fisher knocked down a trey and Lamar Odom made 1-of-2 free throws to increase their advantage to 99-81 with a little less than five minutes left.
