Tuesday TV Schedule: Sugar Bowl, Lakers Highlight Tonight's Action

Tonight's sports television schedule is a light one, but still features two games sure to catch our attention. The BCS bowl schedule takes us to New Orleans, with the Sugar Bowl on ESPN, while the only local team in action is the Los Angeles Lakers, who look to bounce back from another embarrassing home loss. Hockey, or at least the Ducks and Kings, takes the night off. Here is Tuesday's full sports schedule:

↵

5:30 p.m.: Sugar Bowl (ESPN)

↵

The No. 6 Ohio St Buckeyes, with the punished-yet-active Terrelle Pryor and four others, battle the No. 8 Arkansas Razorbacks, featuring the golden arm of Ryan Mallett at quarterback. While my natural inclination is to root against all things SEC, I will happily jump on the Razorback bandwagon to help lead to the demise of The Ohio State.

↵

7:30 p.m.: Detroit Pistons at Los Angeles Lakers (Fox Sports West)

↵

The Lakers have lost three of their last four home games, by margins of 19, 16, and 19 points. Times are not well in Laker land. Our own Dexter Fishmore compared this current Laker team to the Bad Boy Pistons of the late 1980s and early 1990s, so it's only fitting that Detroit is in town tonight to face the purple and gold.
