Lakers 117, Warriors 89: Pau Gasol Dominates In Win

Pau Gasol had a perfect shooting night, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 117-89 blowout of the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night at Staples Center. It was the 11th straight victory for the Lakers over the Warriors, who have outscored Golden State by a total of 52 points in two meetings this season. The Lakers are 22-2 all-time against the Warriors at Staples Center.

Gasol made all 10 of his field goal attempts, becoming just the fifth Laker ever to make 10 field goals without a miss. On the Fox Sports West broadcast, it was announced that Gasol joined Wilt Chamberlain (14-for-14), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (11, twice), Mitch Kupchak (10), and Byron Scott (10) in the perfect club. Gasol, who didn't play the fourth quarter, had 28 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and four block shots.

Lamar Odom and Kobe Bryant also sat out the fourth quarter, but that didn't keep them from having productive nights. Odom scored 15 points and had 10 rebounds in 27 minutes, while Kobe had 20 points, six rebounds, and five assists in 27 minutes. Shannon Brown continued his stellar play as well, scoring 17 points in his 20 minutes on 7-of-10 shooting.

The Lakers shot 55.7% on the night, and had 32 assists on their 44 made field goals. Golden State shot just 35.2% on the night. Tonight's win moved the Lakers' record to 12-2 on the season, and 7-1 at home. The Lakers next play Tuesday night against the Chicago Bulls at Staples Center.
