The Lakers stood atop the basketball world after their 8-0 start (well, everywhere except John Hollinger's power rankings on ESPN, that is), but a pair of losses derailed their quest to win 82 games this season. Oh well, you can't have everything I guess. This week, after starting with seven of their first 10 games at home, the Lakers head out for a three-game road trip before returning home next weekend. Here is a look at their upcoming schedule this week:
↵Tuesday: Lakers at Bucks (5-5)
↵The Lakers have won their last two games, and seven of their last nine, in Milwaukee.
↵Wednesday: Lakers at Pistons (4-6)
↵The Lakers have also won their last two in Detroit, but had lost their six games prior to that.
↵Friday: Lakers at Timberwolves (3-8)
↵The Lakers have won their last five in Minnesota, and will try to keep human dynamo Kevin Love from going 30-30 again.
↵Sunday: Warriors (6-4) at Lakers
↵They end their week with their fourth straight Sunday night home game, against the Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors and their up-tempo style are second place in the Pacific Division. The Lakers have won five straight, and 14 of their last 15 at home against Golden State.
