There is a good chance this weekend will have the lightest schedule of the year in terms of local sports. UCLA played -- well, they had a game scheduled -- Thursday night and USC has a bye this week, so there's no local college football. The Lakers have one more preseason game tonight in Ontario, and the Clippers are done until their season opener next week.
↵This might be a good weekend to go play some golf, see a movie, or take your significant other out to dinner without having to check your phone every five minutes for a score update. However, if you do want some local sports to watch, here is what is left on the schedule:
↵Friday
↵7 p.m.: Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers at Ontario (KCAL)
The Lakers wrap up their preseason with their eighth game wearing their home gold uniforms, but their sixth game played away from Staples Center, in their second game against the Warriors in as many nights.
Saturday
↵4 p.m.: Anaheim Ducks at Detroit Red Wings (KDOC)
After dropping their first four road contests this season, the Ducks try to win a second road game in a row, in Detroit
6 p.m.: Los Angeles Kings at Colorado Avalanche (Fox Sports West)
A pair of eight-point squads do battle in Denver.
Sunday
↵5 p.m.: FC Dallas at Los Angeles Galaxy (Fox Sports West)
Watch the Galaxy try to clinch the Supporter's Shield in the MLS.
Keep in mind, if you want to broaden your horizons there are a pair of Games 6 in the League Championship Series in MLB on Friday and Saturday, with the chance for two Games 7 on Saturday and Sunday. Still, if your garage ever needed cleaning, this might be the weekend to get that done.
