Stanley Cup Final, Game 3: Simon Gagne Likely Back In Lineup For Kings

The Los Angeles Kings look to have some extra firepower on offense against the New Jersey Devils in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday night. The Kings will reportedly activate Simon Gagne for Monday's game, per Lisa Dillman of the Los Angeles Times.

The 32-year old left wing hasn't played since suffering a concussion on December 26. Gagne, who is expected to replace Brad Richardson in the lineup per Dillman, had seven goals and 10 assists in 34 games for the Kings this season.

As Travis Hughes at SB Nation noted (in what couldn't possibly construed as a jinx), "Should the Kings win the Cup, Gagne's inclusion in the Game 3 lineup will be enough for him to earn inscription. He hadn't met the criteria -- at least 41 regular season games or one Cup Finals game -- to date."
