Devils Vs. Kings, Stanley Cup Finals 2012 Game 2: Kings Still Up 1-0 At Second Intermission

The Los Angeles Kings are hoping to move one game closer to the first Stanley Cup in franchise history on Saturday night as they visit the New Jersey Devils. Through the first two periods of regulation, the Kings hold a 1-0 lead.

Drew Doughty staked the Kings to their lead in the first period on his third goal of the playoffs. The second period saw both teams taking turns pressing the attack, as well as both teams being very effective at the penalty kill.

The Devils have out-shot the Kings so far through the first two periods, but so far Los Angeles goalie Jonathan Quick has been perfect.

The Kings are attempting to tie the all-time record for road wins in a single postseason. If they hold on for the win, this will be their 10th road win in the 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs.
